Are RAMSOMEWARE pirates unbeatable?

The long answer is yes they can be.... and the answer is not more sophisticated algorithms and complicated passwords.

Case in point a few years back we got the infamous FBI warning on the pc screen and became a victim of that FBI scam.

Well, let's just say almost a victim... Because we were prepared, we did not pay nor did we destroy or lost any data.

While not being very astute into cyber security we used a different approach to protect the computer and the information within.

What we did was setup different user accounts within the same computer. While the ADM was almost never used. After a forced SAFEMODE start we were able to go on about our business without more trouble.

Out of the square thinking

This brings us to ask, Why don't these experts have a backup double on standby?

Million Dollar operations require million dollar thinking. Especially when sensitive data, operation and millions of dollars are at risk.

Your computer system is like the saw blade in your power saw or any good tool. we must always be ready willing and ABLE to replace the tools without interrupting the whole operation. If you can't do this... Then you might be inept.

Case in point CNA insurance paid millions... For having all their eggs in 1 basket

What you didn't learn anything from the NAVY or NASA? Double up on safety is the motto.

(A) System runs day to day operation. Connected to web...

(B) Back up system in separate room, NEVER connected to WEB  this system is updated every week if needed. And only via hand transfer memory chip that is pre-scanned. How heavy is that file update? And why? Is your Eureka moment.

This back up system should be ready to take over system (A) in an hour's worth of time or if done right in minutes.

In the meantime we leave you with a few links regarding to the latest actions against these cyber pirates.

Follow the money. We know who they are.
